Addressing a daily challenge with practical action

In 2023, CAMBRIS-AF carried out the Bomaka Borehole Water Project to respond to a persistent community challenge: limited access to safe, reliable water. For many families, the absence of clean water affects health, household routines, hygiene, and everyday dignity. The project reflected a practical response to a problem that has long-term consequences for daily life and community wellbeing.

The benefit to the community was significant. A dependable water source reduced the burden of collecting water, supported safer hygiene practices, and helped create a stronger foundation for family life and local activity. Clean water also contributes to public health, improves access to basic essentials, and strengthens resilience in communities where daily needs are often shaped by water availability.

CAMBRIS-AF responded by identifying the issue, supporting the delivery of a local infrastructure solution, and helping to make the project visible as part of a wider effort to improve community wellbeing.
